Meet Your Director!

Christy Dayton
CA: RSM

Where I'm from: I live in Ladera Ranch. I grew up in Coto de Caza and have lived here my whole life.

Family: I have been married for 15 years. We have 5 daughters who range in age from 14 to 6 and one son who is 3 years old.

Interests: I love to water ski, eat out, spend time with my family, sing, dance, and decorate my home.

Schooling: I graduated with a bachelors in Speech Language Pathology/Audiology.

I am a Singers Company director because I love Singers Company and have seen it work in my own daughters' lives. I have had all 5 of my daughters participate over the past 9 years and they have loved it! Their confidence in their ability to perform has increased through opportunities to sing and dance and perform solos in performances. The confidence which my girls have gained has translated into other areas of their lives. I was involved in a singing group similar to Singers Company as a child and the confidence which I gained as I had opportunities to both sing with the group and perform solos has remained with me throughout my life. I want to give other girls the same opportunities which I had and my daughters have had. I am very excited about working with my 2 oldest daughters who are both amazing singers and wonderful directors.

I have had the opportunity to be the leader of a children's group through my church over the past 3 years where I spend time each week teaching and inspiring over 100 children between the ages of 3 and 11. I LOVE being with them each week and I love teaching. To see their faces as they grasp new concepts and sing new songs is priceless. I love that I can use the things that I have learned as a leader in this setting to be an effective Singers Company director. Most of all, I just love to have FUN and this is the best way for these young girls to find themselves and to just have a lot of fun with friends singing and dancing.rnThere is a lot of joy which comes from music. You can't help but feel happy when you are singing or dancing. It is great that these girls get to experience that joy at a young age and that they get to feel how music can bless their lives and the lives of those around them. The fact that Singers Company allows every girl to shine makes it that much more amazing. Every girl can feel like she is a star. There is no competition with any of the other girls in the group. It is a wonderful thing. I know that Singers Company has blessed the community that I live in as the girls spread joy to each member of the audience at each of their performances. You can see it in the faces of moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, friends and family as they watch these little girls perform and show off what they have learned. I am excited for Singers Company to have that same effect in Rancho Santa Margarita and I am grateful that this amazing opportunity is reaching girls across the country.

Robyn Miner

Where I'm from:I was born and raised in Mission Viejo, CA.

Family: I have been married for 14 years and have 3 children. My daughter has loved being a part of Singers Company for the past 2 years.

Interests: I love people! I love to teach children, spend time being silly with my friends, dance around the house with my kids to loud music, whistle classical tunes, and run.

Schooling: I graduated from BYU with a B.S. in Psychology.I learned to love music and rhythm at a young age from being part of a big, musical family where I have many memories standing around the piano while my mom would teach me and my sisters to harmonize. When I was young, I was always so nervous to sing in public and would shy away from opportunities that came my way. If only we would've had something like Singers Company back then! Music is such an essential part of my life, it makes me happy and I see how much my own children need it and use it to express themselves through song and dance. After college, I taught second and third grade at a local private school and have served as the children's chorister (ages 3-11) for several years at my church. More recently, I served as a leader over the 1-3 year olds and now I'm so excited to become a director and combine two things I love: music and teaching children!

I signed my daughter up for Singers Company two years ago and after the first performance, knew this was something special and something I wanted to be a part of. I have seen my daughter grow tremendously over the past few years. She is more confident in who she is and feels so safe and comfortable in the non-competitive environment Singers Company provides. It's a place where any girl can come to find joy in music and dance, make new friends, have fun, and be who they are! I'm so excited to be part of such a wholesome, uplifting organization that inspires little girls to grow in such a positive way.
